Ai Systems

One Simple Idea That will Unlock Ai for You Forever.

“I must create a system, or be enslaved by another man's” - William Blake

Ai is nothing new. All men who need to organise large companies, armies, or governments come across the same eternal question: how do you build an effective system?

When dealing with 100,000 men, you need a structure to get them aligned. Armies create detailed command structures and standard procedures. This is how you can move so many men towards one goal.

Rome defeated the bigger, stronger and more violent barbarians through organization and structure. Organised systems are the path to all power. They don’t require “hustle” or “brutal labour”. They require high level thinking, mental creativity, and perspective.

They are a mental challenge.

Since Ai is going to do more and more labour, what will help you stay relevant is your ability to think in terms of systems. This is the one big lesson: Its not “how to choose the right software software”. Its not “how to use the right tool”. It’s “how to think the right way about systems”.

This leads you to the first exercise:

Step 1: Break down your Creative Workflow into a set of procedural steps:

What comes now is a set of mental exercises. Do them. It will take 15 minutes. All you will need is a pen and paper, you can also use a Notion or Google Drive document. Just do them.

Question one: what are you creating?

Task one: systemise that creative behaviour.

It doesn’t matter if you are a Youtuber making content or a Factory owner. You are creating something.

My system for creating Youtube content:

1 - Generate a large range of ideas for videos on paper once a week

2 - Script out these idea into a set of bullet points on Notion twice a week

3 - Store these Notion scripts in “To Do” folder

4 - Record script in OB Studio using Camera and Microphone twice a week

5 - Have editor creating visuals with Ai to overlay video

6 - Have editor put together audio and visuals

7 - Create thumbnail in Adobe Premier

8 - Publish on Youtube

9 - Answer comments & review performance

This is the system that leads to video creation. Nine steps that could all be adjusted, improved, or perhaps even removed if better alternatives appear.

Task: Write out your version of this for yourself, what do you create and what is your system?

Extra example: Systemise a business.

My Youtube creative process is my personal workflow, but you can also apply systems thinking to your business. Take a “At Home Sauna” business:

1 - Locate a high quality US or European Sauna supplier, negotiate a deal with them

2 - Create a shopify store to sell their product at a markup - $9000 for a $5000 Sauna

3 - Create a range of basic video ads using Ai tools

4 - Run the Ads on Instagram

5 - When customers buy, have the supplier ship the Saunas to them, boom profit

6 - Repeat step 3 and constantly create, test, and optimize new ads

7 - Repeat step 1 to discover new products and create a range of businesses

It's all systems. Think in terms of systems and obnoxious amounts of productivity and cash are attainable.

Step 2: Use automation to increase efficiency of your workflow

Look at the system you wrote out.

Ask: how can we increase the efficiency of the steps?

Well, through a variety of ways:

  • Buy a slave in a slave market (old fashioned way)

  • Hire a staff member (fair exchange of value for labour)

  • Use productivity software or an Ai tool (automation)

In my Youtube example, I already include staff members. My next example will be how how you do all this entirely with Ai automation:

1 - Generate ideas using Chat GPT

2 - Script idea into youtube format using Chat GPT

3 - Record the script as audio using Elevenlabs

4 - Create visuals to overlay in video editor using Runway.ml

5 - Make thumbnail using Adobe Photoshop Ai

6 - Have Hootsuite publish on Youtube

7 - Have OpenAi Operator observe the Youtube comments and performance, and send you report

Do you see where this is going? You’ve now removed all labour from the process.

Your only concern now is quality control (which may be a huge issue). You can include yourself or a staff member within this process to keep it high quality.

For example: It's probably best to write the scripts or read them yourself. It's up to you as a creator to hold things to sufficient standards

Step 3: Use Ai Agents that Act Independently

This is when things get really interesting. Ai tools in the previous steps can do alot of tasks, but they are trapped in their little steps. You or Staff have to go in and move a script from ChatGPT to Midjourney.

Ai Agents are able to move through the internet by themselves and do tasks.

They think for themselves, plan, and make decisions. They go and do research for you, and conclude the best moves for themselves. They are little people who live online.

Think of how they plug the “clunky” in between steps of this workflow where you manually have to move files around:

1 - You generate an idea using Chat GPT and place it into a Notion folder

2 - Ai Agent is watching this folder

3 - He takes this script (yes he’s a dude) and the agent sends it to an audio agent

4 - The audio agent uses Elevenlabs to make an audio file

5 - He sends the file and the script to an image agent

6 - The image agent uses Midjourney to generate prompts

7 - He then sends it to the video agent

8 - The video agent makes the Midjourney images into video, sends to editor agent

9 - Editor agent puts all this together as finished piece, and then sends to Notion folder

10 - Out pops a finished video

You are looking at a machine that is full of automated “Actors”. One input from you, then a variety of processes that are strung together. At the end, out pops a finished product.

No labour, the processes handle the labour.

The systems set you free.

Think of a normal factory machine:

You place a lump of chicken on a contour belt which moves it into a big machine full of cogs. A series of steps turn the chicken into a breaded and fried chicken nugget in a package. Not romantic, but it works. These were the types of capitalist systems that led to the explosion of the first industrial millionaires who systemised manual labour.

Ai is giving you the chance to build this for your mental labour.

Step 4: What Tools can make Agents or Machines like this?

My team has built a ComfyUi machine. We plug various agents from across the internet into this machine and it produces artwork. You can download this onto your own personal computer and run it off the internet. You could use Make.com or even Zapier.

Think of this as the platform where you build the machine.

What connects to tools and Ai agents into this machine from across the internet are APIs. An Api is like a lighthouse, you need to build one and switch it on for the Ai Agent to be able to find your machine in the ocean of the internet.

This is OpenAi’s API platform. You can build a bot on OpenAi and funnel it into a machine you are building on ComfyUi or Make.com. Each usage of your bot will cost a small amount of money, keep that in mind.

A pure independent Ai Agent that is being built right now is OpenAi Operator. This is not available as an Api yet, you can only use it inside OpenAi. But it will come as an Api in time. Prepare your machine now so you can take advantage of it in time.

If you have a basic understanding of code, and can install Python, the best place to start is AutoGPT. It is an open source Ai Agent not tied to a company like OpenA:

“Auto-GPT and ChatGPT are built on the same technology, but Auto-GPT can function autonomously without the need for human agents”

“If you wanted to plan your child’s birthday party using ChatGPT, you would need to keep prompting ChatGPT for every step.

“Auto-GPT can self-prompt and tackle every subset of a problem without the need for human intervention. If you asked Auto-GPT to plan a birthday party, it could develop a theme, create guest lists, send out invitations, and even shop for gifts, all on its own.”

Replit is another fantastic company which you can use to create your own agents, but they also require a little coding experience. They are becoming easier to use as time goes on. You can prompt Replit and it creates an app out of your idea in an instant.

Step 5: Get Specific

These are all just tools, tools always quickly go out of date. Always come back to the principle: You need a clean machine that represents your creative system.

All tools, software, or Ai agents are supposed to serve this.

By the time you’re reading this, Ai Agents may have swallowed ChatGPT's normal functions and people don't use normal tools anymore. Things can move fast. The mental model will last the longest, and is the key. That is the one big lesson.

The next step is to get hyper specific, to go into the gritty details and figure out what your workflow should look like . I can do this with you.
